Day 13

Im officially done with this project. I am a little upset that my computer won't let me upload videos. I mean my project was really cool, and I wanted to put a video of it on there. I really wanted to show the whole class's project together. Our amusement park was just to cute. So, I'm MAD!

Day 12

On day 12 I started to make a sign for Marj! It said Cajun Island. My sign had paint splatter all over it. It is so cute! When they hung it up it went perfectly. We showed Mr. Estep all of our projects, and he seemed impressed. I also help Josh's group with the final touches on their project!

Josh's Project! ------------------>

Day 11

Today we presented our projects! I helped linda fill her pool with water. That did not work out as well as it should have. Haha! Then Josh, Justin, and Kennedy were having problems with their roller coaster! Jessica to the rescue! I suggested playdough for traction and helped Justin elevate the starting ramp! At first, it didn't work. after a few runs, it started to work correctly! Yay me!

Day 10

I helped Keith and Tyler with their project! They kept having problems with keeping their marble on the track. Then, as luck would have it, their battery died! I tried my best to help, but I couldn't do too much! However, they can't say that I didn't try!(Picture taken from: http://www.openthefuture.com/images/fail.jpg)

Day 9

On day 9, I made a set of stairs for my ride out of popsicle sticks. It took about 30 sticks and almost 3 sticks of hot glue. However, the stairs are cute. After I got them together, I painted then a "barney" colored purple. It took almost 5 coats of paint. I also got a brown board and hot glued the stairs and the sign to the board. Then i hot glued two sticks to make a longer pole, and I glued pieces on the side of them to make them stable. I then glued a paper with the name of my ride to the sticks. That's my sign. I am  done! :D

Day 8

On day 8, I had to make a rules and regulations sign. I took a paper clip and bent it into a long piece with a base. Then I got a small piece of construction paper and wrote height requirements on it and rules. You must be 4ft to ride. Also, no horseplay is allowed, and you must wear your waist belt. Do not forget, there wil be no movement until the ride is completely stopped!

Day 7

After attaching the ride to it's base, it shook way to much! In order to hold it down, I filled it with LEGOs. Haha. It took so many LEGOs to keep it from shaking! Once I had it full of those pieces of plastic, I tested it in order to make sure it stayed. Only, the ride did not work. I thought, "What is this?" Then I realized that I did'nt press the reset button on the outlet! Go figure!

Day 6

On day 6, I saughtered a hole into my color pencil box. Then, I hot glued the motor to the inside of the box, and placed the "UFO" into the box from the hole in the top. It took a while to get it working, because the main part of the ride kept wiggling off of the motor's axle. It took a ton of hot glue and super glue to keep the base attached to the ride! Luckily I got it done!!

Day 5

I finished up decorating the UFO today!! Whoop,Whoop. Can I get an amen? Seriously though, today I hot glued a door onto the GAPING whole that would have posed as a death trap for my "riders"! I used the door for a Lego car or something. Haha, it added a little more of an extra-terrestrial feel! Then, I used purple glitter to sprinkle over the silver. Now my project is silver, green, blue, and purple! Did I mention that it was beautiful? The only thing I have left to do it make the base for my flying saucer ride. Which, I will make out of a color pencil box!

Day 4

Oh day four...not my best day! HAHA..I added blue sequins to my project to spruce it up a bit. Of course, I thought it was adorable. Then, while enjoying my beautiful project, AMBER EVANS pointed out to me that my UFO lacked a door! She said, "HOW WILL PEOPLE GET INSIDE IF THERE IS NO DOOR?" I then responded, "I will beam them up!" :) It was funny, but I knew I had to do something. So, I grabbed Adam's trusty solder gun and went to work. I melted a small door into the plastic and created a door. Yay, problem solved! :) Then, saved by the bell! Another day in Physics complete!

Day 2 and 3

On day two i decorated my "UFO" with silver glitter and silver paint. It is super cute! I also found a way to attach the saucer to the motor. I used a piece of a bic pen to connect the two. Again, I used only recycled materials for this project! Day three was my burst of creativity day. I decided to paint a lime green (my fav. color) stripe around the UFO. I had to add some color! However, I had a problem with attaching the motor after using WAYY too much super glue. I guess it leaked into the part of the motor that rotated, but I fixed it! :) This project is coming along great so far. I'm oober proud of it! ;D

Day 1

We were asked to design an amusement park ride for a grade. My first day I brought a motor attached to a phone charger. It goes quickly, and i believe that it would be the perfect set up for my Flying Saucer amusement park ride.
THIS one is Colby's. I deleted the picture of mine on accident.
